Who We Are
Asian Community Watch (ACW) is a volunteer safety group that casts a watchful eye over South Brooklyn.
Through weekly patrols, community outreach, volunteer service, and partnerships with local law enforcement and community leaders, ACW is committed to building a safer and stronger neighborhood.

Our Story
ACW was initiated through the collaborative efforts of Councilwoman Inna Vernikov and community members in the 48th Council District. In the face of growing safety concerns within the Asian American community, we decided to band together to enhance a sense of security and protect our community.
Our Missions

Raising Safety Awareness
ACW’s primary objective is to raise safety awareness among community members. We conduct patrols, engage in community outreach, and assist residents in better understanding how to protect themselves and others.

Community Collaboration
We advocate for community collaboration and work closely with residents, government agencies, and other organizations to collectively address safety issues and foster a more secure environment.

Building Trust
ACW strives to build close connections and trust within the community. We actively communicate with community members, listen attentively to their voices, and respond accordingly based on their needs.

Our Volunteers
The strength of ACW lies in the enthusiasm and dedication of our volunteer team. Our volunteers come from diverse backgrounds, but they all share a common goal: safeguarding our community. They willingly participate in patrols and community activities, making them instrumental to ACW’s success.
We encourage community members to actively participate in ACW’s activities. You can join our patrol teams, take part in our events, or provide suggestions and feedback to help us better serve the community.
