On August 22, 2025, ACW and UCA partnered to distribute Farmers Market grocery vouchers to seniors in our community, helping ensure they have access to fresh, healthy produce throughout the season.
With hot weather and long lines, volunteers from both organizations worked together to keep the event running safely and efficiently. ACW volunteers helped manage the line so as not to disrupt pedestrian traffic and kept an eye on seniors’ bicycles and carts while they collected their vouchers, providing an extra level of support and security.
These Farmers Market vouchers are an important resource, making fresh fruits and vegetables more accessible to older adults and families in our community. By working together, ACW and UCA were able to create a welcoming, organized environment while helping ensure that community members can enjoy the benefits of nutritious, locally grown food.
